Fit4Micro: EU-funded project to develop micro-CHP systems with biofuels
Market and policy
Fit4Micro, part of the EU-funded Horizon Program, is a project launched in early October 2022 that aims to develop high-efficiency, next-generation microturbines for decentralized power (heat and electricity) generation for offgrid applications using liquid biofuels. The project involves 9 entities including European companies, universities and research centers and numerous phases, which the CEO of Mitis, the company coordinating the work, explains. The ultimate goal of the project is to demonstrate the feasibility of this innovative technology and its potential.
