Germany 2045: Only Renewable Heating – The Key Role of Biomethane
Applications and technologies
From 2045, only environmentally and climate-friendly renewable heating systems will be allowed in Germany! This is a highly ambitious decision, considering that at least two-thirds of households in the country still rely on oil and natural gas heating systems. Biomethane, produced from biogas, is one of the renewable energy sources that could help Germany take steps toward its energy transition. However, what could significantly boost the production and demand for this renewable gas are subsidies and incentives. Let's find out more with Thomas Hartmann, Chairman of renergie Allgäu e.V.
