Biomethane in Germany: Applications and Prospects
Applications and technologies

Its use in transport, however, is less common, as it is not incentivized under the current legislation. Energie Schwaben, a company providing energy supply and distribution services in the Bavarian Swabia region, and a buyer and marketer of biomethane, shares insights on how the outlook for the German biomethane sector could be improved by addressing costs, bureaucracy, and regulatory frameworks.
