From Poland, an innovative closed-loop biomethane plant
Applications and technologies
Jakub Augustynowicz, Investment Director at BZK Energy, leads a project that has been awarded the Seal of Sovereignty under the European Commission’s Innovation Fund programme. His company develops biogas and biomethane plants, manages construction activities, and markets renewable energy, with a strong focus on circular agriculture. According to Augustynowicz, the innovation does not lie in a new technology, but in the unique integration of existing systems: a closed-loop plant that produces its own energy, generates no odours, and releases no emissions into the atmosphere. How does the plant work? What is its relationship with the local community? Can this model be replicated across Europe? The answers are in the video interview.
