Germany, a leading country in the biogas sector, is now moving quickly towards biomethane. Currently, the country produces 10 billion cubic metres of biogas and 1 billion cubic metres of biomethane, the highest amount in the European Union. Despite the extraordinary numbers and interest, further efforts are needed to exploit the full potential of the market: that is precisely why the German Biogas Association works to facilitate the entry of new investors into the market, ensuring transparency and offering consulting services. The Biomethane Channel participated in the Biogas Convention & Trade Fair 2023 to explore precisely these issues.
