In this interview, Christos Tourkolias, Senior Energy Policy Expert at CRES, explains Greece’s updated National Energy and Climate Plan, revised in 2024 to achieve climate neutrality by 2050 and cut national emissions by 55% by 2030. For the first time, a concrete target for biomethane has been set: 2.1 TWh by 2030. The plan combines regulations, incentives, supply chain development, and pilot projects to build expertise.
