In Poland, the new challenge is biomethane/RNG
Market and policy
“Together for biogas”: the motto of the “Polish union of producers and employers of the biogas industry”, association which has been fighting for years in favor of biogas producers to introduce adequate feed-in tariffs, guarantees of origin and more. A long effort that has led to good results and that today has its sight set on a new battle: biomethane/RNG. In Poland, in fact, to fully exploit the potential of this new fuel, there is an urgent need to adapt the national gas network, to introduce new incentives and to ensure the involvement of major players in the alternative fuels sector.
