According to Cristian-Silviu Buşoi, European efforts to increase energy efficiency should focus primarily on the heating sector, where the use of renewable sources would enable the decarbonisation of this sector. Moreover, the key word for reducing Europe’s dependence on fossil fuels is electrification. Finally, in the “Green Recovery Plan”, priority should be given to investments in energy efficiency.
