Mexico: in 2025 a quarter of green energy will be produced by cogeneration
Market and policy
It is estimated that cogeneration will play a relevant role in Mexico’s energy mix over the next twenty years. Suffice it to say that a growth of installed capacity to reach 7.5 GW is envisaged, and that a quarter of clean energy produced will be generated through cogeneration. This technology is of great importance in an industrialized state such as Mexico and can be used in numerous national energy-intensive industries.
