Microgrids, industry and critical infrastructures in the future of cogeneration
Market and policy
We asked Meegan Kelly what the role of cogeneration will be in the coming years and how the US incentive system is expected to change. We can identify 4 different ways of using cogeneration: in industry, for critical infrastructures, in combination with renewable energies and powered by renewable sources. As a result, incentive programs must be adapted to the new needs and cogeneration must be seen as one of the technologies that are part of a microgrid.
