Photovoltaics, battery storage and trigeneration: the winning mix for Sibeg Coca-Cola
Case history
Sibeg, bottler and distributor of the Coca-Cola brand in Sicily, is a local company with a strong focus on sustainability. Sibeg was one of the first companies in the Sicily region to adopt the use of electric cars and provide refueling stations, as well as installing a photovoltaic system, soon to be expanded, and a 900 kW trigeneration plant that meets 50% of the plant’s energy needs. To achieve the target of zero emissions by 2026, the company is considering fueling the cogenerator, which already avoids 1084 tons of CO2 per year in the atmosphere, with hydrogen or biomethane/RNG.
