Innovation has always been the leitmotiv at Polynt, the Italian company that specializes in the production of polymers and chemical intermediates. In view of its energy-intensive production processes, Polynt took the decision to invest in efficiency-improving technologies as far back as the 1990s. In 2016 it also decided to adopt cogeneration for its site at Scanzorosciate, where two 4400 kW plants were installed, each producing around 1200 kW of heat and steam and 2700 kW of hot water used in the facility's internal production circuits. The cogeneration plants have also been linked up to two recovery generators; but that’s not all, because the company is also equipped with an industrial steam generator, the 20t/h to 18-barg SIAT CALORPACK C.1200, with a thermal power of around 147 MW and very low NOx emission levels - under 70mg/Nm3.
