San Luis Obispo: inauguration of a biogas plant to process 36,500 tons of organic waste a year
Case history
In San Luis Obispo County, California, the first “Kompogas” plant has been inaugurated belonging to Hitachi Zosen Inova, a leading company in the production of energy from waste. The plant can process up to 36,500 tons of organic waste a year to generate approximately 2,900,000 Nm3 of biogas, which is then transformed into 6,200,000 kW/h of electricity to supply the consumption needs of over 600 families.
