Scotland bans biodegradable waste going to landfill as from 2021
Market and policy
Scotland has been committed to separate waste collection for the residential and commercial sectors for some time now: from its 2010 Zero Waste Plan to stricter regulations for businesses in 2017, and its ban on biodegradable waste going to landfill as from 2021.
