Sebigas and the challenge of converting biogas plants to biomethane
Applications and technologies
In recent years, biogas plants have driven the energy transition, but today the real challenge is converting them to biomethane. Azienda Agricola Salera, together with Sebigas, has undertaken this journey, transforming its 635 kW plant into a new system capable of producing 200 Smc/h of biomethane. Sebigas managed all interventions, from revising the biomass mix to building a new anaerobic digestion tank, and optimizing electrical and automation systems. The project combined production continuity, efficiency, and technological innovation. Today, Salera and Sebigas demonstrate how collaboration between farms and technology partners is key to a more sustainable and future-oriented agriculture.
