SMEunited on Fit for 55: structural measures dedicated to small and medium-sized enterprises are necessary
Industry and tertiary sector
As Guido Lena, Director - Sustainable Development of SMEunited argues, structural measures and measures dedicated to small and medium-sized enterprises are necessary within the Fit for 55. Structural ones should ensure: greater efficiency in Europe, the possibility of importing renewable energy from other states, investments in technologies and a greater capillarity of energy storage systems. Small and medium-sized enterprises, on the other hand, need more local support in terms of technology, finance and skills development to ensure that companies stay on the market. In this scenario, cogeneration is already one of the technologies that flank some small and medium-sized enterprises belonging to the association in their energy transition.
