In Poland, data centres are regarded as a rapidly growing sector, with the potential to drive innovation and strengthen the country's competitiveness. According to Marek Duk, Head of System Development Department at PSE S.A., Poland’s national electricity transmission system operator, the conditions are already in place to connect new facilities of various sizes, while further assessments are being carried out for larger-scale projects.

The national power grid is also benefiting from ongoing investment and planning activities aimed at meeting future demand, with the goal of ensuring coordinated development between energy infrastructure and emerging industrial and digital needs. This evolving landscape also highlights the potential contribution of high-efficiency solutions, such as combined heat and power (CHP), in supporting the future development of the energy system.
