Spain towards sustainable mobility with biomethane and hydrogen
Sustainable mobility
During the 2023 edition of the Green Gas Mobility Summit, topics such as the current situation of road and maritime transport and the great opportunities offered by renewable sources, in particular biomethane and hydrogen, were addressed. As the President of Gasnam, the organiser of the event, comments, Spain is a leader in the use of CNG and LNG for the transport sector and the vehicles are already designed to be powered by biomethane. In 2022, the gas mobility sector has already contributed to decarbonisation with a reduction of 30,000 tons of CO2, but better results will be obtained in the years ahead when more and more cities will supply vehicles with biomethane.
