Synergies between biomethane and green hydrogen: the TES-IDEG project
TES (Tree Energy Solutions) and ID Energy Group, two key players in the renewable energy sector, have collaborated on an innovative project that combines the production of biomethane and green hydrogen. The partnership between these companies from different sectors allows them to leverage synergies between the two projects: the biogenic CO2 captured in biomethane plants is reused to produce green hydrogen through electrolysis, while water extracted from the liquid digestate feeds the electrolysis process. At the same time, TES utilizes the residual heat and oxygen molecules generated by ID Energy’s process, improving the efficiency of digesters and boilers. This collaboration enables a safer and more efficient development of both energy projects.
