The CHPSOP 2 Programme supports the CHP production in the Ravensbergen greenhouse
Case history
Since 2011 Raversbergen, a greenhouse located in Ontario, has shown a desire to take part in the CHPSOP Programme offered by the local energy authority, which enables owners of cogeneration plants to sell the electricity they produce to the grid. In 2017 the company completed the installation of a 2.7 MW plant and succeeded in taking part in the second edition of the programme (CHPSOP 2), thus gaining the right to sell the electricity generated to the local distributor while at the same time using the heat produced within the greenhouse.
