The gas engines of the future will be greener and more efficient
Energy efficiency and cogeneration
According to EUGINE, the voice of the European association of gas engine manufacturers, gas will continue to be needed over the next few years. The reason being that while renewables exist, these are not always available and gas engines can come into play precisely when these resources are scarce. The gas engines of the future will certainly be different from the ones we use today, as they must be more flexible. This, because they will be activated when necessary and they will be powered by renewable gases such as biogas and biomethane or hydrogen.
