Afterres2050: biogas for the agro-ecological transition in France
Market and policy
France: will we have enough arable land to feed the population in 2050? Afterres2050 is a scenario for the sustainable use of French soil that is attempting to answer this question. The analysis has the objective of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and reviewing our food and energy needs. The strategic role is being played by bio-energy, which will provide 40% of energy needs by 2050. And biogas? Afterres2050 is planning to supply 130 TWh of biogas into the grid by the same year. All the details from Christian Couturier of Solagro.
