An energy-saving campus: the example of Lakeland Community College in Ohio
Industry and tertiary sector
Once it had developed the Integrated Energy Master Plan in 2006, the Lakeland Community College immediately understood that the potential energy saving for the campus was very high. Works to improve the efficiency of the buildings therefore began, connecting the existing boiler and chiller, replacing windows and doors and also water conservation measures. The Lakeland Community College, which is evaluating new technologies for energy efficiency, can be considered an example to follow for other campuses in America and abroad.
