Biomethane/RNG for the revolution of the transport sector in the UK: interview with ADBA
Sustainable mobility
In the UK, 27% of emissions come from the transport sector and 22% of these emissions from heavy duty vehicles. The sector is therefore in dire need to be decarbonised. Among the possible solutions ready to be implemented we have biomethane/RNG, a 100% renewable alternative fuel not only capable of exploiting the existing gas network, but which also boasts great potential in the country, given the numerous anaerobic digestion plants in the UK. Last, but not least, biomethane/RNG could contribute to reducing emissions by up to 80%.
