Catalonia: potential of 14.7 TWh of biomethane/RNG
Associations
64% of the territory of the Spanish autonomous community of Catalonia consists of forests and therefore rich in biomass for the production of biogas. Other raw materials for the production of biogas and later biomethane/RNG can be obtained from agriculture, livestock farming, OFMSW and wastewater, as Jordi Serra from the Clúster Bioenergía Catalunya association comments, which supports the diffusion of biomethane/RNG in the area by organising conferences and seminars.
