Cogeneration for the pulp and paper industry – Interview with CEPI
Industry and WWT
Cogeneration, both biogas and natural gas, is a good solution to help decarbonise and make the paper sector more energy efficient. In paper mills, in fact, large quantities of wastewater and residual sludge are produced, suitable to be reused as biomass for the production of biogas. Is the pulp and paper industry therefore on the road to decarbonisation? CEPI, the Confederation of European Paper Industries, talks about this topic in this interesting interview.
