Efficiency is the best tool for decarbonising the energy sector
Energy efficiency and cogeneration
Efficiency comes first in pursuing the path towards decarbonisation of the energy market, and is a key objective for players in the industry. The priority is to reduce energy demand by up to 80-90%. Only some players, however, regard electrification as the main driver towards the decarbonisation of energy resources. Against this background, cogeneration can be a valuable help in recovering dispersed heat and in satisfying the demand for energy.
