GEF Biogás Brasil Project: studies on the positive impact of biogas on employment and emission reduction in Brazil

The GEF Biogás Brasil project aims to promote the integration of biogas in the Brazilian production chain through actions at the local and federal levels. The project is coordinated by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and has as its main executive entity the CIBiogás association. In the context of the GEF Biogas Brazil project, the first studies were carried out confirming the positive impact of biogas production, both in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and in creating jobs.
