GIZ, the German organisation for international cooperation for sustainable development, operates in Mexico, assisting the government in various sustainability projects. Results of some studies conducted in conjunction with the National Commission for the Efficient Use of Energy and Ministry for Energy, show that the potential of the cogeneration market is very high, although not yet developed. Hence the idea to create the Cogenera México platform, which brings together operators in the sector and the Mexican government.
