In Europe, 250 million tons of CO₂ saved thanks to cogeneration in 2020

Speaking with the Biogas Channel, Hans Korteweg points out the important role that cogeneration plays in the European energy transition, thanks to a rational use of energy. Cogeneration plants can be powered by different types of green fuels, including renewables and biogas. In 2020, cogeneration has saved approximately 250 million tons of CO₂ and this is expected to reach 350 million in 2030.
