In Europe, distributed generation can benefit the grid's stability

According to Krol, thanks to the simultaneous production of electricity and thermal energy, cogeneration can contribute to the stability of the European electricity grid. Furthermore, as distributed generation is becoming increasingly widespread, cogeneration can make up for the energy demand in a timely manner in the event of electrical system blackout.
