In Poland, the PTEZ association promotes cogeneration
Associations
One of the main associations promoting cogeneration in Poland is the Polish Association of Professional Combined Heat and Power Plants (PTEZ). As Director Dorota Jeziorowska explains, cogeneration in Poland is mainly used for district heating, as almost half of the national buildings are heated by district heating systems, and in the future the trend will be to use hydrogen as a fuel. The association has also drafted a report in which it is estimated that the decarbonization path in Poland will cost around €100 billion.
