New biomethane/RNG Decree in Italy: not only biomethane for transport and incentives for 15 years
Market and policy
With the publication of the new Decree in the Official Gazette - and pending the application procedures which should be ready shortly, we take stock of the innovations of this new incentive mechanism with the CIB, the Italian Biogas Consortium. The first important change is that not only biomethane/RNG for transport, but also that for industrial use will be encouraged. The incentives, with a duration of 15 years, will be differentiated into two bands depending on the production capacity of the plant.
