In 2011 Biloni installed a 250 KW biogas plant in his farm. The plant is powered by the manure of the cows and pigs that he breeds. There are many advantages using a biogas plant: the production of electricity, a better animal waste management, the availabilty of both electricity and hot water, an efficient use of digestate as fertilizer and the possibility to write off the plant costs selling the electricity produced.
