Certification for the cross-border trade in biomethane is an issue of considerable complexity. There is in fact no universal certification across the European Union, with each state operating its own system. Certification should also relate to the entire value chain connected with biomethane, from producer to final seller. We discuss all the critical issues in this interview with Gábor Sonkoly.
