The Farming For Future approach, what are the benefits? We ask the producers
Agriculture and breeding
Farming For Future is the Italian Biogas Consortium - CIB project, which proposes 10 actions, already implemented, with effects on the future of agriculture. But what are the concrete results of this approach? Certainly the increase in organic carbon in the soil, thanks to the reduction in soil tillage, the introduction of double crops and the optimal use of digestate as a fertiliser. In addition to this, there is also a clear reduction in chemical fertilisers and a consequent reduction in the use of pesticides.
The direct testimony of the benefits, however, is in the words of the producers who apply this new approach to agriculture, integrating energy and food production. Let’s hear what they have to say!
