The first stage of the Italian Energy Saving Championship: the clear winner is biomethane/RNG
Sustainable mobility
Electric, hybrid, methane and biomethane/RNG: cars powered by different types of alternative fuels competed against each other in the first stage of the Italian Energy Saving Championship. Which was the greenest? Nicola Ventura and Daniela Marchisio, in their biomethane-powered Fiat 500 Abarth, dominated the emissions ranking with emissions for biomethane of only 36.49 grams of CO2 eq/km against 62.30 grams of CO2 eq/km for the first-ranked electric car. A great start, therefore, with excellent hopes of making the podium in the following stages!
