The WBA’s MakingBiogasHappen programme: the second element is the adoption of an international certification scheme - ADCS International
A crucial element of the #MakingBiogasHappen (MBH) programme promoted by the World Biogas Association is the International Anaerobic Digestion Certification Scheme - ADCS International. This scheme aims to improve the operational safety and environmental standards of biogas plants globally, integrating best practices from Africa, Asia, India, America and Europe. The project has two phases: the first, underway in 2024, involves the collection of information through workshops and consultations, with a final project planned by October 2024. The second phase, scheduled for 2025, will focus on the dissemination and implementation of the standards in the various countries, seeking adoption by governments and national associations, to create an effective global standard in the sector.
