Thermohydrolysis to facilitate the production of biogas from OFMSW
Landfill and Waste
The thermohydrolysis process improves the production of biogas from the organic fraction of municipal solid waste (OFMSW). How? The waste is pre-treated before being put into the digester, facilitating and speeding up the degradation process. The use of OFMSW to produce biogas that can be transformed into biomethane and the use of digestate as a natural fertiliser is an example of a circular economy.
