USA: in Grand Junction, all municipal vehicles are fuelled by biomethane/RNG

The biogas is purified and upgraded in order to be turned into biomethane/RNG, with the process features varying according to the feedstocks and the type of digester. The city of Grand Junction, Colorado, purifies the biogas obtained from the WWT plant to create biomethane and power the whole municipal fleet: refuse trucks, buses, street sweepers and other municipal vehicles.
