The World Biogas Expo and Summit are the world’s leading events solely dedicated to anaerobic digestion (AD) and biogas, attended by industry leaders, policymakers and technology providers from around the world. This year’s gathering will be held on 9-10 July at the NEC in Birmingham.
Organised by the UK’s Anaerobic Digestion and Bioresources Association (ADBA) in partnership with the World Biogas Association (WBA), the World Biogas Expo is the world’s leading exhibition dedicated to the biogas and AD sectors. Visitors will be presented with the latest innovations, services and technologies driving progress in the industry. Over 150 companies will exhibit on products and activities relating to AD, agriculture, land management, waste and recycling, utilities and more – making this the essential event for buyers and all those looking to increase plant efficiency, improve productivity and boost profitability.
Attendees will also enjoy two days of technical and product presentations in the Engine Room theatre – a compelling window into market and regulatory trends and the operational progress that are taking this industry to the next level.
The co-located World Biogas Summit is a senior level forum which will highlight the increasingly significant role the biogas industry plays in providing solutions to climate change and other global challenges – such as energy and food security as well as air and ocean pollution. With a stellar list of speakers past and present, the Summit will discuss how to mobilise climate financing and showcase innovative technologies, among other pressing topics for the sector. It will continue to highlight the huge potential of the biogas sector in promoting the transition to clean energy and decarbonised agriculture, to achieve food security, sustainable waste management and a circular economy.

The AD & Biogas Industry Awards and Gala Dinner will also take place on the 9 July, recognising excellence in the sector. Hosted by impressionist and comedian, Rory Bremner, the event will be a great opportunity to network with industry peers and find out who has won the 11 award categories.
