What: World Biogas Association INDIA Congress 2025
Where: 3–4 December
When: India Habitat Centre in New Delhi
The World Biogas Association (WBA) will deliver the World Biogas Association INDIA Congress 2025 on 3–4 December at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. This two-day live event will spotlight India’s rise as a biogas superpower, bringing together national and international expertise.
The Congress offers industry stakeholders a unique first-mover advantage in one of the world’s largest and most investable biogas markets. Discussions will focus on key technical interventions to enhance the performance, efficiency and sustainability of biogas plants.
Why India?
India is rapidly embracing biogas, driven by national and state policies, market demand, and the need to manage organic waste sustainably. Government missions are spurring thousands of projects, while states simplify permits, offer incentives, and connect biogas to waste and agriculture chains. The growing ecosystem aims to cut methane emissions, reduce fossil fuel imports, and create local jobs, advancing India’s Paris commitments.
Flagship programmes like SATAT, CBG-CGD, and the CBG blending mandate are stabilising demand and de-risking investments, while regional policies and incentives make India one of the world’s most dynamic biogas markets. Supply is expanding as agro-industrial states and cities organise feedstock and waste contracts. The WBA’s #MakingBiogasHappen initiative, backed by global partners, is accelerating collaboration and scaling solutions—key themes of the upcoming World Biogas Association India Congress 2025.
Why attend?
The Congress programme runs across two parallel tracks. One focuses on policy and leadership, exploring the strategies, regulations and investments shaping India’s biogas future. The other delivers technical content, showcasing practical solutions, innovations and expertise to optimise plant performance.
