A more sustainable digestate thanks to the Nomad project
Research
Digestate, a product of anaerobic digestion, is an excellent natural soil improver but, in the long term, could cause problems such as eutrophication, acidification and loss of soil biodiversity. The Nomad project was born with the aim of treating the digestate with a modular and compact system, through micro-ultrafiltration techniques, selective electrodialysis and reverse osmosis in order to make it harmless to the soil.
