Also according to the European Biogas Association the future of biogas lies in biomethane/RNG. Only by going in this direction will it be possible to help achieve European targets, which currently require the energy mix to be made up of at least 32% renewable energy. But the targets that could be achieved with biomethane/RNG are much higher, thanks to its versatility of use both in heating and as a transport fuel.
