Biomethane and net zero: the RE2Sources experience
Applications and technologies
RE2Sources, with its 6 biomethane plants, of which 4 are certified for high quality biomethane, demonstrates how this renewable fuel can support the company in compliance with ESG regulations and procedures. Thanks to a monthly monitoring of the reduction of greenhouse gases compared to fossil sources and a positive energy balance between energy consumed and energy produced, the company has its sight set on the net zero goal, in other words the zeroing of its environmental impact. However, the main obstacle remains the lack of harmonisation between national and international standards. Carlo Santoro, Senior Advisor, SPV Permitting & Sustainability Certification at RE2Sources tells us about it.
