In collaboration with the CHP Alliance, the American cogeneration association, we have created 6 short videos looking at the reasons why cogeneration can be of vital importance for different types of critical infrastructure. We start with airports where, according to research conducted by the DOE (Department of Energy), a cogeneration potential of 973 MW was estimated in 2016. For an airport, installing a cogeneration plant means guaranteeing a continuous and constant supply of energy at reduced costs and a punctual service to passengers even in the event of blackouts. This, in addition to the reduction of emissions into the atmosphere and increased safety for users. A shining example of this application is New York’s JFK Airport.
