European Investment Bank: Biogas supports agriculture, energy and European competitiveness

According to the European Investment Bank, biogas is important not only for producing energy but also for supporting agriculture and territorial cohesion. It helps farmers reduce risks linked to the disposal of waste such as manure and slurry, while also providing a new source of income. At the European level, it strengthens energy independence and resilience, making the industry more competitive. However, different rules across EU countries hinder investments. For this reason, the European Investment Bank calls for harmonizing regulations to simplify projects and reduce perceived risks for investors. Discover more in this interview.
