For the biomethane/RNG market it is crucial to valorise the cost of avoided CO2
Applications and technologies
In order to start the biomethane/RNG market it is crucial to correctly valorise the cost of avoided carbon. Snam Rete Gas, a leading company in Italy for the transport and dispatch of natural gas, is looking for ways to facilitate the entry of this bio-fuel into the national system. An input that cannot be separated from accounting for CO2, which in Italy currently has a value of 6 euros per tonne, while in countries like France and Great Britain it exceeds 25 euros.
