From Iasi Agrizoo, a 100 kW biogas plant is fed exclusively with the liquid fraction of livestock manure
Case history
The Iasi Agrizoo farm in Forenza (in the province of Potenza) feeds its 100 kW biogas plant exclusively with the liquid fraction of livestock manure produced by about 600 dairy cows. The solid fraction is on the other hand composted, enabling the company to become the protagonist of several interesting projects including Forest.Comp, an activity that involves the production of compost by combining the solid part of the manure with different types of bio-shredded material sourced from forestry companies. The compost obtained based on this process is then spread onto fields.
Iasi Agrizoo was the fifth stop of the BDR Tour organized by the Italian biogas consortium.
