From November 21, 2024, the UDB - EU Union Database will be established
Market and policy
The so-called RED II provides for the establishment of a single and mandatory database at the European level that covers all sustainability certificates for liquid and gaseous biofuels in the transport sector. This database is called the UDB or EU Union Database and will be established on November 21, 2024. Although it is not mandatory for now, when it becomes so, the transitions of certificates on the market will be more certain, there will be greater clarity in terms of ownership and counts, and the market will be more harmonised.
